In what is set to be an unforgettable 30th celebration, iconic WA rockers Jebediah will headline the Busselton Jetty Swim Sunset Concert in February.

The legendary band will take the stage for the Busselton Jetty Swim’s free concert, part of a two-day program featuring the signature 3.6km open-water swim around the beloved Jetty.

Celebrating their own 30th anniversary in 2025, Jebediah are renowned for their high-energy performances and are sure to deliver an electrifying show that will resonate with fans old and new.

With hits like Leaving Home and Harpoon, organisers said their timeless alternative rock sound was the perfect way to mark the milestone event.

“We’re ready to party,” Simon Mansfield from the Jetty Swim’s volunteer Organising Committee said.

“Who would have imagined the idea to swim around Busselton Jetty would become WA’s biggest open water swim and still be going 30 years later?

“But we are not only celebrating the swim. Busselton Jetty Swim has become a symbol of Busselton and its community spirit. It is woven into the fabric of our town and become a tradition that connects people both within and to our community.

“It’s only fitting to have such an iconic WA band headline our biggest event yet.”

The entertainment will also include the final of Busselton’s annual Battle of the Bands competition, an initiative of the City of Busselton’s Youth Services team.

“We love showcasing the incredible young talent from the region through the City of Busselton’s Battle of the Bands final,” Simon said.

“Jebediah made a name for themselves after winning a National Campus Band Competition, so who knows?

“Maybe one of these bands will be back as headliner in years to come.”

Simon said while the Jetty Swim was primarily about inspiring people of all ages and abilities to swim, the Sunset Concert and other free activities provided an opportunity for the event to give back to the community.

“We have a range of family friendly activities planned across the entire Jetty Swim weekend, so everyone has a chance to join the fun, connect with people from all walks of life and enjoy everything Busselton has to offer,” he said.

In addition to the concert, KYST (formerly Equinox) will be offering its annual ‘Carb loading dinner’, and there will be beach games and free activities on the foreshore across the weekend.

The free concert will be held on the Busselton Foreshore on Saturday, 8 February from 5.30pm.

Entries are still available in the Team Swim, Simon’s 500m Shortcut Swim, and the Kids Swim. For more info and to enter, go to busseltonjettyswim.org.au.
