The familiar purr of vintage engines will soon fill the streets of Busselton once again as the Veteran & Classic Car Club (VCCC) Busselton Branch gears up for its annual Rally weekend this February.
This fun event brings together car enthusiasts, families, and history buffs to celebrate automotive heritage.
Local enthusiasts and collectors across Western Australia are polishing their prized possessions for the weekend festivities, with entries closing on January 26th.
The streets will come alive with the roar of engines on Saturday, February 1st, as these historical beauties parade through town.
Each has a unique story, some dating back over a century.
Long-time participant John Smith, whose car dates back to 1901, will join fellow collectors in sharing their passion for these carefully preserved treasures.
Visitors can admire an impressive collection of classic cars representing different chapters in our motoring history, including the magnificent 1903 Model T Ford and the charming 1923 Rugby Roadstar Utility.
“These aren’t just cars,” a VCCC spokesperson shared.
“Each one carries decades of stories, adventures, and memories.
“It’s a celebration of automotive heritage, and the passionate collectors work tirelessly to preserve these remarkable pieces of history for future generations to enjoy.”
The weekend wraps up with a free community display on Sunday, February 2nd, at the VCCC club rooms at 84 Causeway Road, Busselton.
From 8:30 AM, families can view these gleaming examples of automotive craftsmanship up close while collectors share tales of restoration projects and memorable journeys.
