Tickets are on sale now for ‘Jack and the Beanstalk – The Pantomime’, the Margaret River Theatre Group’s annual family friendly production at Margaret River HEART.

Director Rebecca Simmonds said this year’s pantomime would feature the usual all-singing, all-dancing cast of locals, with kids and adults taking to the stage to entertain audiences in one of the region’s most popular entertainment offerings.

“Each year we get bigger and better, as our list of talented members grows,” she said.

“Behind the scenes, we have some incredibly skilled set and prop designers and a technical team creating true magic with lights, effects, music and costumes.”

The group will stage two evening shows, and two afternoon matinees to give audiences the chance to catch the action across two weekends.

The shows have traditionally been a sellout success for the group, run entirely by volunteers passionate about performance and community theatre.

“Anyone who has come along to one of the MRTG pantos already knows, it’s fun for everyone and a great activity for the holidays,” Rebecca said.

The family-friendly shows cater to all ages, with cheeky jokes and local references thrown in.

“Tickets are selling really fast, so as always we’re urging everyone to be quick and book… every year we have people calling, begging us to release more tickets, but once we’re full, we’re full!”

Jack and the Beanstalk runs is on September 28, 29 and October 4 & 5. For tickets and info, visit artsmargaretriver.com
