South West Showdown: Pickleball clash comes to town
The sport of pickleball is growing rapidly in the South West.
This Sunday will see the inaugural South West Pickleball Showdown land at the Busselton Tennis Club.
A whopping 64 players are registered to take part in the event, playing for their city – either Bunbury or Busselton – with one club set to take home the perpetual Trophy and bragging rights.
Pickleball is growing fast in the South West region with opportunities to play in Bunbury, Eaton, Busselton, Dunsborough, Augusta and more.
Recently, the City of Busselton approved the Holgate Road Tennis courts in Broadwater to be resurfaced with 6 dedicated pickleball courts, while the Bunbury Pickleball Club is working hard to secure dedicated courts on their home turf.
The South West Pickleball Showdown will begin at 9am on Sunday February 23 at the Busselton Tennis Club (3 Carey Street Busselton), concluding at around 2pm.
