Soccer spirits still high despite rainy games

The U7 derby was met with great excitement from both Ninjas and Falcons. The Falcons showed great grit and determination in defence and their PODs were Winston and Ashton. Ninjas showed great maturity and sportsmanship and their PODs were Clayton and Leo.
It was raining more than just goals this week when The Messi Kids faced off against DTFC Comets in an overcast showdown at home. The wet weather didn’t dampen the team’s spirits, with every player showing grit, determination, and brilliant teamwork. Jack earned Player of the Day.
Great energy and performances across the U8 Magic. Player of the match moment came from Mitchell, amazing tackle to steal the ball in midfield and instantly releasing Mo with a golden pass to assist a goal.
The U9 Rovers took on The Cornerstone Jets and came out on top this week. Some fancy footwork by Theo got the Rovers on the board early and then the goals in the first half didn’t stop coming. Player of the day went to Toby Maxwell.
The Legends XI put on a fantastic display in an exciting and well-fought game. Every player shone brightly while trying out new positions, showing great teamwork and adaptability. Player of the Day Koby Thomson led by example with a standout performance.
U9 Raptors faced the Dunsborough Dragons and landed some amazing goals while solid defence showed some skilled passing. PODs were Nissi and Hemi.
It was a beautiful day at Rapids for the match between FMR Legends and FMR Mavericks. The scores were level for the majority of the match but Legends sealed the win. POD Kyra was very happy with her well deserved pick.
The sun came out for the match at Gloucester Park as the U10 Strikers ignited their performance against the DFTC Fire. The Strikers came out firing, establishing an early lead with a swift pair of goals courtesy of Josh and Arlo G. Following an outstanding team performance, Chase was deservedly named Player of the Match.
The FMR Dragons had their first away game of the season against the Dunsborough Lightning. Contests with the Lightning in last seasons have been a challenge for the Dragons and this one proved no different! The player of the day was Fred.
The U10 Serpents took the field, ready to strike. Against strong opponents, the Serpents proved their resilience, determination and ability to strike when it mattered most. Players of the day went to Elsie and Abigail.
It was a tough game, but great to see the U11 Roos use communication and keep a positive attitude. Player of the day went to Louie.
The U11 Storm showed their trademark spirit, defending in numbers, attacking with intent, and showing great communication across the pitch. While the scoreboard didn’t tip our way this week, Storm played with heart, determination, and growing teamwork. POD went to Declan Hindmarsh.
Despite a valiant effort, U12 Breakers fell short in a tough match against the BCFC Blades today. Felix lifted team spirits in his first game for the season to win POD. Sienna played an awe inspiring game in defence, chasing players down to win POD.
The game for the U12 Stars started with a burst of energy, excitement, and enthusiasm. This approach led to them taking control of the game from the start. There was great team play, aggression on the ball and excellent passing. POD was Hugo Christian.
It was an exciting all-Margaret River clash – Legends vs Jettz – and both teams brought energy. Legends struck early with a great opening goal and set the tempo, but the Jettz fought their way back. The Legends showed incredible determination, fighting hard until the very end and leaving everything on the pitch. PODs were Beau and Noah.
