Ag Show President Lara Armstrong said the event was a "beautiful reflection" of the spirit of the local community.

It’s time for the Margaret River Agricultural Show, which hits the Margaret River Showgrounds this weekend for a day of family-friendly community fun, before the Retravision Fireworks at 8pm.

Locals are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets to this Saturday’s Show to avoid queues when gates to Gloucester Park open at 10am.

Don’t miss the Margaret River Produce and Pet Show, on at 10am this Saturday morning.

Sheep dog demonstrations, McDonalds Farm, pony rides and dog agility displays are returning Show favourites, while children can meet and handle cute pygmy goats, new to the Show this year.

The Children’s Pet Show, presented by Margaret River Produce and Pet, starts early at 10am.

The Retravision Fireworks will kick off at 8pm on Saturday night.

Margaret River Show President Lara Armstrong said the much loved cultural and community event brought the town together like no other event.

“The Show is a lot of fun, but it is also a beautiful reflection and celebration of the talents within this town, whether they be performance, artistic, creative or commercial,” she said.

A huge program of Main Stage performances featuring local dance, drama, concert band and vocal entertainment will run throughout the day, with special performances by bands Shrugs, Spectrum and Hey Ramona.

Local musician Chris Hawker will entertain the community with smooth sounds and tunes by the Exhibition Hall.

Thrill seekers will find sideshow ride favourites Gravitron, Cliffhanger and the Zipper on the main oval, along with family favourites the dodgem cars and bouncing trampolines.

There are plenty of free activities included in the program to fill families’ schedules.

Seek out the Exhibition Hall competitions, tucked away in the Recreation Centre’s basketball courts, to view displays of talented craft, cookery, horticulture, art and photography entrants, along with many other categories.

From 8pm, attendees will come together to experience the show-stopping Retravision Family Fireworks over Gloucester Park.

The Show is supported by Retravision, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and a band of community businesses, organisations and volunteers.
