Community support was strong for the launch of the ‘Octopuses without Borders’ exhibition at Willyabrup Dreaming Pottery last month.

The exhibition raised $1300 for the international aid organisation Doctors Without Borders.

“To you and the artists involved in the exhibition and your generous contributions to our work, thankyou,” Tom Duggan, head of fundraising for the organisation said.

“We rely on the generosity of people like yourselves to remain independent. We literally cannot do our work without you.

“Octopuses Without Borders gave us a huge smile. It’s been a tough week in the office as we respond to the increased fighting in the middle east, finding out about [it] and seeing some of the absolutely awesome pieces gave our mood a huge boost.

“You definitely came up with the most unique ‘without borders’ we’ve seen in a very long time.”
