Young mountain biking sensation Chloe Collis has once again been recognised for her outstanding achievements, winning the Busselton Freight Rising Sports Star award for January 2025.

Despite balancing school commitments, Chloe had a phenomenal finish to 2024, excelling in multiple mountain biking disciplines.

She was crowned the Overall Champion in both the WA Gravity Enduro Series and the WA Downhill Series.

Additionally, she competed against the nation’s best, securing a respectable fifth place at the National Enduro Championship in the highly competitive Under-21 category-an impressive feat for a 16-year-old.

In the WA Gravity Enduro Championship (Elite Women’s Category), Chloe raced up an age group to gain experience in longer race days.

She dominated the opening round in Margaret River and Dunsborough, winning both days and claiming the overall victory.

She followed up with a second-place finish in Pemberton, where she also won the Pro Stage.

At Evedon, she secured third place overall and second in the Pro Stage.

Chloe continued to impress with a second-place finish in Geraldton, Goat Farm, and Nannup.

She closed out the series with a victory in Collie before missing the final round due to exams.

Her consistency throughout the season earned her the WA Gravity Enduro Elite Women’s Series Champion title.

In the WA Downhill Championship (Open Women’s Category), Chloe dominated the PEEL Downhill State Series.

She took first place and was the fastest female in Albany, repeated the feat in Denmark, and continued her winning streak in Nannup and Dwellingup.

Her dominance secured her the WA Downhill U19 Women’s Series Champion title.

Her state and national achievements include a second-place finish in the AusCycling Enduro State Championships in the Elite Women’s category.

She went on to win the AusCycling Downhill State Championships in the U19 Women’s category.

At the Nationals in Collie, she competed against some of the best in the country, finishing in fifth place in the U21 Women’s category.

Chloe’s ability to compete and succeed against older, more experienced riders highlights her talent and potential. With an already impressive career at just 16, she is set for even greater success in the coming seasons.

As Chloe looks ahead to new challenges in 2025, her determination and skill make her a strong contender for further national and international success.

The Busselton Freight Rising Sports Star program, sponsored by Busselton Freight since 2008, celebrates the achievements of young athletes aged 13-18 in the City of Busselton. Monthly winners, like Chloe, receive $400 and become eligible for the program’s annual awards, which include significant cash prizes of up to $4,000 for the overall winner.
