Performers sought for new talent competition
Do you love performing?
Whether for fun or a future career, the upcoming Margaret River Region’s Got Talent competition, running from April to June 2025, aims to showcase your extraordinary talent.
Open to newcomers and experienced artists, this competition offers a unique platform for connecting emerging talent with established professionals, creating opportunities for exciting collaborations.
Adding more star power to the competition, a cash prize is up for grabs for the showcase winner.
Participants of all ages, both locals and visitors, can register between October 18 and November 30, 2024.
“Events like these offer valuable opportunities for up-and-coming musicians who want to have a crack at bigger stages and are looking for a springboard into a career in the arts,” Local recording artist Dan White said.
The competition welcomes talents of all kinds and promises an exciting exhibition of the region’s creativity.
With free registration, the event is accessible to anyone with a passion for performing.
Lucy Taylor, a local piano teacher with a background in dance, theatre, choreography, and visual art, also shared her enthusiasm.
“I’m excited to see other performance artists in the region reveal and share their gifts,” she said.
“Apart from talent shows being a great way to promote artists, creativity is one of the beautiful parts of our community’s identity.”
The competition unfolds in three stages: auditions on April 6, the semi-finals on May 17, and the grand finale on June 7, 2025.
Coaching workshops will be available to all participants to help prepare for their performances.

Audience members can purchase $10 entry passes for the April auditions and presale and early bird tickets for the semi-finals and finals at the Main Theatre HEART Margaret River through a link on the registration page.
Bendigo Bank, Community Bank Augusta, Margaret River, and Office National Margaret River provide community support, highlighting the event’s significance to the local arts scene.
“This show will be an exciting and fun gathering, inspiring new local collaborative projects while celebrating Margaret River’s creative spirit.”
