Paddles up for Open Day fun this weekend

The Geographe Outriggers Busselton are calling for those interested in the sport to join them at their newly revamped club shed for an open day this Saturday October 5.
The Geographe Outriggers Busselton club is calling for locals to join in the fun at their upcoming open day.
The event will welcome past, existing and new members to the club on October 5, from 9am.
A club spokesperson said the day would be an opportunity for those interested in the sport to find out more in a fun, relaxed environment.
“Join us at our newly revamped club shed for a fun-filled day on the water.
“Come have a paddle, catch up with friends, and enjoy a delicious sausage sizzle.”
“We’re also launching our ‘Introduction to Paddling’ course, a four week program perfect for new paddlers that covers all the basics of outrigger paddling in a fun, accessible way.

“By the end of the course, you’ll be confidently paddling on the bay and earning your paddler’s certificate!”
The $50 course fee is deductible from club membership fees, should you decide to join the Geographe Outriggers Busselton.
The open day will be held at 1 King Street, Busselton, next to the Geographe Bay Yacht Club.
