A new enclosed dog exercise space has been established by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, which it says is in response to community feedback around options for pet owners.
Shire President Julia Meldrum said Brookfield Dog Park had been designed to foster social interaction among dogs and their owners, offering a dedicated space for fun and exercise activities.
“The new fenced area offers a secure environment where dogs can be exercised off-lead,” she said.
“It’s a fantastic space for dogs to explore and interact safely, and it offers dog owners a wonderful place to socialise and enjoy their time with their pets.”
The Shire urged locals to remember dogs must remain on a lead in public spaces throughout the Shire, except in designated dog exercise areas.
