Mitchell claims 2023 Scroungers Cup win

Cris Mitchell has claimed victory in the Margaret River Golf Club’s 39th Annual Scroungers Cup. Mitchell’s total point score of 117 on countback just edged out runner up, Ryan Chapman.

Rob Hearn placed third overall in the four-week Stableford.

Scroungers captain Stu Curell said the competition was hotly contested.

“We had 150 members play this year, which makes it the largest club event on our calendar,” Currell said.

The Cup is sponsored by Cowaramup Agencies and key suppliers Davey Water Products, Waratah Fencing, Philmac Fittings and Kleenheat Gas. Mitchell won a Davey Firefighter Pump from Cowaramup Agencies valued at $1200.
