The program for the region’s latest festival has been released this week, offering a collection of events at venues across the Capes.

Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti said the Pair’d Margaret River Region festival would offer activities for a range of tastes and budgets to highlight the best of the region.

“Homegrown events are a key part of our events strategy to create an always on calendar of culinary, arts and culture and sporting events that celebrate WA’s unique culture and drive out-of-state visitors,” she said.

“We really look forward to welcoming those visitors to this fantastic new annual event, especially those who can take advantage of the direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Busselton Margaret River Airport.”

Events include ‘Margaret’s Beach Club’ at Castle Bay, featuring Margaret River wines, bistro dining, seafood grills and local culinary experts as well as music by Ibiza resident DJ Ken Fan.

‘Nature’s Table’ will see guests dine on local produce while taking in an ancient storytelling experience under the karris, and collaborative events will land at Chow’s Table, Leeuwin Estate, Vasse Felix and Wills Domain.

Howard Park Wines and Skigh Wine will host tasting events, where attendees can explore the region’s new generation of wine makers and releases.

Regional Development Minister Don Punch said the lineup of events would demonstrate the South West’s reputation as a producer of world-standard food and wine.

“Events are vital for supporting and diversifying our regional economies, and we’re really proud to be launching the Pair’d program, which features a variety of events and will boost a broad range of local businesses, from farms to wineries,” he said.

The Pair’d Margaret River Region festival will run from 14 to 17 November, with tickets on sale from Thursday August 1 until sold out, with general tickets on sale from 9am next Monday, 5 August.
