Registrations are now open for the Margaret River Hawks Cricket Club season, and with three senior sides and a variety of junior teams, there is an opportunity for everyone to play.

The Margaret River Hawks Cricket Club is excited to announce that registrations for the 2024/2025 cricket season are now open.

Whether you’re an experienced player or just starting out, we warmly welcome cricketers of all ages, genders, and abilities to join our inclusive and vibrant club.

To register, visit www.playhq.com and search for “Margaret River Hawks Cricket Club” or scan the QR code in the image box.

Our club has a rich tradition of bringing families together on the cricket field, with fathers and sons often playing side by side.

This year, we’re extending that tradition even further by encouraging mothers and daughters to join us as well.

While we haven’t yet had a mother and daughter play in the same team, we’re excited for the day it happens and hope it will be this season!

We also welcome FIFO workers and their families, providing a flexible environment that accommodates all schedules.

The Hawks are not just about winning games; we’re about creating a supportive community where everyone can enjoy the game of cricket.

As reigning T20 A Grade Premiers and runners-up in the A Grade Premiership, we’re gearing up for another successful season.

We’re aiming to field three senior sides and a variety of junior teams, ensuring there’s a place for everyone to play.

Our junior program is among the best in the South West, with our U16 and U14 teams nearly reaching the grand finals last year.

The enjoyment and camaraderie experienced by our junior players were exceptional, and we’re eager to see even more young cricketers join this season.

Our Master Blasters program, designed for children aged 5 to 7, had a fantastic turnout last year, and we’re looking to expand it further.

For those with different abilities, our ‘Hawkabilities’ program offers a unique 10-week cricket experience for children aged 6 to 13, making it the only all-abilities cricket program for kids in the Busselton-Margaret River region.

Leading us into this exciting new season is our enthusiastic committee, with Curtis Bacich returning as President, supported by Vice President Michael Earl.

Jay Wynd takes over treasury duties from Al Wilkie, while Matty Drake, in his second season with the Hawks, steps into the Secretary role, succeeding Steph Shawcross.

We have some fantastic events planned, with more details to come soon.

Training starts in September, with more information to follow next week.

For the latest updates, join our Facebook page or contact the club directly at mrhcc.secretary@gmail.com.

Join the Margaret River Hawks this season and be part of a club that’s as much about community as it is about cricket.

We can’t wait to see you on the field!
