Busselton will welcome the first cruise ship arrival of the 2024/25 cruising season early next month, with the maiden visit of the Crown Princess on Tuesday November 5.

City of Busselton Manager Events and Culture, Peta Pulford, said the Crown Princess would be visiting Busselton as part of her 28 night ‘Round Australia’ cruise, which starts and finishes in Sydney.

“Due to the number of passengers, road closures around the foreshore will be required on this day to facilitate a high number of tour buses operating and pedestrian movements,” Peta said.

“At this stage, we are anticipating road closures from 8.30am to 1pm, this may be adjusted closer to the day as we know the number and times of buses.

“Please make her guests feel welcome to our beautiful part of the world!”

With a capacity to carry 3080 passengers and 1200 crew, the Crown Princess will anchor in Geographe Bay at approximately 9am on arrival day, and will depart at 6pm.

Following the Crown Princess visit, the next cruise ship to land in the region will be the Azamara Pursuit on Saturday 21 December.
