'Livid Love' ready to roll

A local skater has been selected to represent Australia at the Junior Roller Derby World Cup this July in Brisbane.
Lilly Gherardi, aka ‘Livid Love’, earned her spot on Team Australia after standout performances at the national tryouts in Adelaide and has been travelling interstate for the past six months to attend regular training sessions with her teammates.
“This is a huge achievement for both Livid and our small but mighty regional league,” Margaret River Roller Derby’s Elisha Holcroft said. “Some of our local coaches will be travelling to Brisbane to cheer her on as she takes on this international challenge.”
Elisha said the local roller derby crew was always on the lookout for new skaters and volunteers.

“Roller derby is known for its strong sense of community and inclusivity, offering a place for everyone – on or off the track – regardless of age, gender, or experience level,” she said. “If you’ve ever been curious about roller derby, now’s the perfect time to come down and see what we’re all about!”
