Karnidale circus festival a celebration of colour | Photos

Karridale came alive once again for the annual Karnidale WA Circus Festival over the weekend, with a huge lineup of Australian and international acts dazzling crowds with stunning performances across the festival’s big tops and outdoor stages.

Hosted by Lunar Circus, the festival draws crowds of locals as well as visitors from far and wide to the purpose-built event site, where patrons can camp or use day passes to enjoy the action.

As always, an army of locals and enthusiastic travellers were on hand to keep the hungry hordes fed and watered, while festival-goers donned brightly coloured costumes to rival the glittering performers onstage.

As the sun went down, the entertainment warmed up, with a number of breathtakingly dangerous displays and a few cheeky cabaret performances carrying on the festival’s tradition of highlighting the best fringe acts and ensuring some memorable moments for all ages.
