Busselton Police are appealing for information over a pair of thefts which have seriously affected the victims’ ability to earn an income.

“We have had some high value equipment stolen over the past few weeks,” explained Sgt Chris Yexley.

“A tile and grout cleaning trailer was stolen from West Busselton sometime on the night of 13 June 2025.”

Sgt Yexley said it was sad to see the impact the theft had on the owner, with approximately $20,000 to $30,000 worth of tools contained inside the trailer, directly affecting his income.

Sgt Yexley said a grader was also stolen from the roadside on Bussell Highway near Wonnerup South Road, sometime between 4.30pm Thursday 19 June 2025 and 10.00am Friday 20 June 2025.

“The grader is worth approximately $40,000.

“Both of these items are of high value, and they are large items which are not easy to conceal.

“We are appealing for anyone that may have seen anything or knows anything to contact Crimestoppers.”

Sgt Yexley said on the whole, burglaries were trending down in the region.

“Retail theft appears to be on the rise though, but we are quickly identifying offenders and putting them before the courts.”

Over a seven day period last week, five people were charged with 21 offences, mainly relating to retail theft and fraud.
