Round seven of the South West Football League season saw Augusta Margaret River defeat Donnybrook at VC Mitchell Park in somewhat of an upset on Sunday afternoon.

The home side started the contest well, but the the Hawks finished even better to lead by eight points at quarter time.

The second quarter was a grind, with both teams kicking two goals each, but the were plenty of stoppages in between as both teams tried to gain the upper hand.

It was much of the same in the third quarter, with the lead changing hands three times, as the Dons took a one point lead into the final break.

The Hawks would finish much the stronger, kicking five goals to one in the final term to win by twenty points, despite both sides having the same number of scoring shots. Max Spyvee and Jed Spence played well for the Hawks, with Byron George kicking three goals, while Kristian Cary and Zac Trigwell both kicked three goals for the Dons.

Busselton proved too good for Harvey Bulls at the Harvey Oval on Saturday evening.

The home side would kick the opening goal, but after that point it would be all Busselton, kicking nine of the next ten goals until half time. Liam Creighton took several spectacular marks, which have become the norm this season, to go with his goal kicking ability.

The Bulls showed some resistance in the third quarter, with Brendan Gotti and Liam Lockley playing well, but the final term saw the Magpies kick six goals to one. In previous weeks it had been Liam Creighton and Ryan Ekert kicking multiple goals for Busselton, but at Harvey Oval it would be Creighton and Mitchell Cameron, both of whom kicked six goals in a brilliant forward display. Tyler Lindberg and Mitch Fraser would play well for the Magpies.
