Grand gestures for Saltwater piano plan

Friends of Busselton Cultural Precinct Gabrielle Whirledge, Lisa Massey and Carmel Cooper are urging everybody to get behind the Grand Piano Campaign.

Locals have thrown their support behind a project to install a grand piano at Saltwater Busselton, so far donating $11,000 to the cause.

The campaign, being run by the Friends of Busselton Cultural Precinct, aims to generate support for the purchase of the premium piano.

“There are many reasons why people choose to give, and we are asking the community to be inspired to directly contribute to this cause as making and listening to music aligns with everyone’s values, leading to real, positive change in our community,” Lisa Massey, President of BCP said.

“You might have personal experience of a family member who has benefited from access to an instrument or simply recognise the importance of supporting a local initiative and want to actively support one that will ensure the well-being of others.”

The Friends of BCP said they were “deeply grateful” for the initial donations.

“These donations demonstrate the community’s support for the piano and is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when individuals and organisations come together to support a common cause.

“Every donation, no matter the size, plays a vital role in strengthening the community and enhancing the lives of all.”
