The Busselton Cultural precinct now has a passionate group of people to promote and support activities in the rapidly developing space that will be the hub surrounding Saltwater Busselton.

On Sunday July 23, the Friends of the Busselton Cultural Precinct gathered in the Courtroom to celebrate their launch and their role as champions for the activities in the precinct and Saltwater, fundraising, volunteering and having input to decisions and initiatives for the precinct.

“The Friends will collaborate with and support those interest groups who currently operate within the precinct whilst also attracting community members looking for friendship, fun and worthy endeavour,” said Lisa Massey, President of the Friends.

“The City of Busselton is building a marvellous venue and performing arts facility in the cultural precinct and the Friends of the Busselton Cultural Precinct will create its heart and soul by providing connection with community.”

Committee member Megan Liston said the celebration launch was a great success, with plenty of local support.

“We would like to again thank those local businesses who supported the event with donations: Happs Winery, Cape Grace Wines, Madfish Wines, Rocky Ridge Brewing Co, Happs Pottery and Icon Honey, Cullen Wines, Bettenay Wines and CineFest Oz,” she said.

The Friends have formed to promote and activate the Cultural Precinct.
