Local residents can boost their bodies and their minds for free, thanks to a returning program from the Building Busselton Town Team.
The team has brought together a team of local yoga instructors from World Gym, Valerie’s Dru Yoga, Complete Yoga and Toni’s Yogalates to introduce a variety of yoga disciplines to the public, with weekly morning classes in Mitchell Park throughout the month of March.
The 45-minute sessions in Mitchell Park will be suitable for all levels, and everybody is invited to turn up with mat, towel and water bottle.
Building Busselton Town Team member Gizelle Salame said the classes were perfect for those looking for something new, and wondering about yoga.
“Our previous yoga offerings in Mitchell Park have been so popular that many locals requested we make it an annual event,” she said.
“We’re very excited to again bring a variety of yoga teachers into Mitchell Park to share their practice with you.”
The Building Busselton Town Team is a group of community minded individuals and businesses working together to create events and initiatives that will lead to a vibrant and attractive City centre.
Town Team member Lisa Skrypichayko said while the classes would be free to attend, the team is also keen to help others in the community.
“If you are able, please bring a gold coin to donate to Cliff’s Kitchen,” she said.
“With mental health being a big issue in the South West, this is an opportunity for us all to take steps to look after ourselves and others.”
Autumn Yoga will be held each Wednesday morning at 7am during March.
The weekly schedule is being promoted on social media and on flyers around Busselton.
