It was a stunning evening at Gloucester Park on Friday as locals headed out to cheer on the mighty AMRzons women’s football team as they faced the Margaret River Masters men’s team in their annual charity match to aid local cancer charity, River Angels.

The game showed plenty of fancy footwork and top skills from both sides, before the AMRzons came away with another win in front of the enthusiastic crowd.

The event is the major fundraiser for River Angels and attracts a huge number of entries for the raffle, which features items and services donated by generous individuals and local businesses.

Adding to the fun was a silent auction, pop stick pulls, cakes, lolly bags, face painting and hair decorating, as well as a donated keg of beer.

Monster Raffle first prize winner James Gordon came away with a brand new e-bike donated by Guy Pathe from Margaret River E-Bikes.

Bu Wilson (second), Matt Norton (third), Jordan Maker (fourth), Emma Oliffe (fifth) Frank Simon (sixth), Kylie Roberts (seventh) and Mel Pimm (eighth) also took home raffle prizes.

The victorious AMRzons expressed their gratitude to major sponsors Lions Club of Margaret River, Margaret River E-Bikes and Priceline Margaret River for their ongoing support, as well as the many businesses, organisations and local residents who donated to the Monster Raffle and the success of the community event.
