Expert giving young locals essential car advice

Young drivers are invited to attend a special workshop with local automotive expert, Franz Jooste this Friday. Image supplied.
Teens and young adults preparing to secure their drivers licences or own their first cars are encouraged to take part in an upcoming workshop aimed at giving young drivers aged 15-25 crucial car maintenance skills to build their confidence, improve road safety, and save money.
Vasse Automotive will host the hands-on workshop, led by local expert Franz Jooste and covering important aspects of vehicle ownership including how to change a tyre, checking oil and water levels, and identifying and responding to warning signs before they become costly problems.
Participants can learn how to manage car troubles confidently and safely, and how to prevent expensive repairs with proactive maintenance.
Past workshops have been packed with enthusiastic drivers, who have gained invaluable knowledge about what to do when breakdowns occur, and how to remain safe while dealing with unexpected moments on the road.
The workshop, which is provided thanks to Vasse Estate, will be held this Friday January 31 from 3pm to 4pm at Vasse Automotive.
Light snacks will be provided (participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles).
Spaces are limited, so early registration is essential.
