Cow Poo Lotto: Fundraiser hits the fan at Beerfarm

Reckon you know where the cow might go? Have a crack at the Busselton Hospice Care Inc's Cow Poo Lotto - just 625 tickets will be sold.
A unique approach to fundraising has hit the fan, or in this case – the paddock, as Busselton Hospice Care Inc and Beerfarm partner for a Cow Poo Lotto – a fun raffle to help support an important cause.
Members of the public can purchase sections of a 50mx50m paddock to go into the draw to win $20,000, before a cow is sent into the paddock to ‘select’ a desirable spot.

Busselton Hospice Care Inc chief executive James Jarvis said the Cow Poo Lotto was a fun way to extend the Hospice’s impact in the community and couldn’t wait to see it happen.
“We value and honour the sacredness of life and death and provide volunteer-led, free hospice and bereavement support, and complementary therapies to people diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, and their carers,” Mr Jarvis said.
“Just like regular lotto, this ‘country-style’ event leaves the winner completely up to chance and I can’t wait to see people get behind it, so to speak!”
There are just 625 tickets available at $100 each, with sales going towards the ongoing operation of the local charity.

The professional volunteer-led organisation promotes and facilitates hospice and palliative care for people in the community experiencing end of life.
Beerfarm spokesperson Ben Joseph said the brewer and venue was proud to be supporting such an important cause.
“The whole team is very excited about this one, it’s not often you get a great chance at that kind of scratch and help out an excellent local cause at the same time,” he said.
“We expect a big turn out on the day too, with some live tunes and fun activities for the youngsters, we are stoked to be on board.”
Cow Poo Lotto will take place at Beerfarm on November 12 from 2.30pm.
