Comedy wild child heading to Shelter Brewing Co

Comedian Nikki Justice brings a lot of laughs with her award-winning show "1 & a Half Weddings & a Funeral".

What do bikies, a circus, and Jesus have in common?

Perth comedian Nikki Justice will bring her award-winning show “1 & a Half Weddings & a Funeral” to Shelter Brewing Co. on Sunday, May 4.

The show will serve up a slice of life that reads like an episode of Underbelly but with a comedic twist.

Fresh from winning Best Comedy at Perth Fringe World 2025, Justice shares her wild journey from a religious kid to a circus performer, with a few unconventional pit stops along the way.

Her life rivals that of a great Netflix series – from saying “I do” (and later “I don’t”) to a bikie, working in the adult entertainment industry, and somehow finding time to raise three kids amid endless crime family dramas.

“It’s dark humour and not for the faint of heart,” Justice warned, “but it just won Best Comedy at Fringe World, so it’s apparently pretty bloody good!”

Critics agree. The Adelaide Insider praised her “fearless storytelling that will make you erupt in fits of side-splitting laughter,” while Arts Hub applauded her “refreshing honesty and irreverent humour – a celebration of human resilience.

A rising star on the Australian comedy scene, Justice has already achieved impressive accolades as a two-time State Finalist in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s RAW Comedy Competition.

She also co-created the internationally touring hit show “Bad Mums” before stepping out solo.

“The show is a true origin story,” she said.

“Think coming-of-age tale meets crime drama.”

Catch this award-winning combination of chaos and comedy at Shelter Brewing Co, on Sunday, May 4, at 7pm.

Tickets are $33, and yes, it’s definitely an 18+ show. Book through oztix.com.au.
