Dunsborough Christian College (DCC) is taking a significant step forward in meeting the educational needs of the growing local community.

The college has expanded its offerings to include secondary education, providing local students with a complete K-12 pathway.

This year, DCC welcomed its first Year 7 class, comprising enthusiastic graduates from its primary school and students from other local schools.

These young learners will be the first to experience the college’s new secondary program, which is approved to add a new grade each year, reaching Year 12 by 2029.

David Mullender, Principal of Dunsborough Christian College, shares the vision behind this expansion.

“Our vision for the college has always been to provide a nurturing and academically rich environment that meets the needs of our students and their families,” he said.

“The expansion into secondary education is a natural progression, and we look forward to welcoming more students as we grow.”

This development means that Dunsborough families’ children can continue their education locally without the need for long commutes to neighbouring towns.

Students can remain part of the supportive, close-knit community they love while receiving a quality, affordable Christian education.

The college’s 16-acre campus, set on beautiful former farmland and Quedjinup bushland, offers a unique learning environment.

As DCC expands, it is committed to preserving much of its beloved bushland while developing new facilities for its growing student body.

This balance between modern infrastructure and natural surroundings ensures students benefit from a conducive and inspiring learning environment.

Exciting plans are underway for a new flexible learning area within an existing building.

This versatile space will accommodate home economics, science, and technology, providing students with modern resources for practical, hands-on learning.

Understanding the financial challenges families face, DCC offers a generous sibling discount.

The second child receives a tuition discount, while the third and any additional children attend tuition-free.

“We are committed to making quality education accessible to families in the local area,” Mr Mullender said.

“This initiative reflects our dedication to supporting local families as they invest in their children’s education.”

Enrolments for 2025 are now open, and DCC welcomes families, with or without Christian faith, to explore the opportunities available.
