Coastal beauty is best in the South West

Busselton-bases Tallwood Custom Built Homes was awarded the 2024 CSR HIA South West Homes of the Year on Saturday night.
The celebration, held at Yallingup’s Tiller Farm, recognised a long list of South West building companies for excellence across a range of categories, including Modular and Prefabricated Housing, Lightweight Housing, Commercial Projects, Outdoor Project and Sustainable Homes.
Alex Campbell, the Managing Director and owner of Tallwood Custom Built Homes, said the awards were “the recognition of the wonderful designers and architects and our clients who choose to partner with us as their builder and our dedicated and professional staff, suppliers and subcontractors who bring dreams into reality”.

“Since 2010, we have received the HIA South West Home of the Year 6 times, numerous state awards and one national award,” he said.
As well as the overall Home of the Year, Tallwood brought home the Custom Built Home, Greensmart Sustainable Home, Lightweight Housing and Small Commercial Project awards.

Dale Alcock Homes South West was awarded Excellence in Service (Large Builder), with South West Building Company and Modular WA claiming the Small Builder and Medium Builder titles. ProLiving Design and Construction took the Spec Home, Residential Design and Outdoor Project awards, while Caves Road Constructions collected the award for Renovation/Addition Project.
The region’s best Display Home was won by the Rural Building Co for The Gelorup Retreat, and Wilde Design & Build received the Innovation in Housing award.

TR Homes claimed the Modular and Prefabricated Housing honours, while WA Country Builders collected the South West Project Home title.
Tallwood’s South West Home of the Year will go on to compete for the CSR HIA WA Home of the Year to be announced in November.
