City of Busselton chief announces resignation
City of Busselton Chief Executive Officer Tony Nottle announced his resignation on Monday, saying he planned to focus on interests outside of local government.
Promoted from the position of Director Finance and Corporate Services in 2022, Mr Nottle said it had been “a real privilege” to take on the role.
Mayor Phill Cronin said Council would discuss Acting CEO arrangements and commence recruitment for a permanent chief executive.
“Tony has been on the journey with us at a senior level for many years and has been instrumental in delivery of a range of successful projects and initiatives,” he said.
“As CEO, Tony has successfully led the organisation through a period of change, including recruitment of a new Executive Leadership Team following a major realignment of organisational portfolios.
“He has consistently provided strong support and guidance to the Council on strategic and governance matters, and we have all appreciated his dedication and commitment… On behalf of the Elected Members, I wish Tony and his family all the very best for the future and their next chapter.”
