Cowaramup has dug deep to support the local community, at the Christmas Eve Carols and Nativity event in Pioneer Park.
Around 350 joined in the fun of the season with enthusiastic singing, while donations collected totalled $600 and were passed to the Margaret River and Cowaramup Primary Schools.
MRPS Principal Chris Walker said the funds would be used to support families to ensure “no child misses out”, helping to fund excursions, incursions, and resources for children identified as needing assistance by the school’s Student Services Team, Chaplain and Aboriginal & Islander Education Officer.

Cowaramup PS Principal Jamie Adair said the donated funds would help to reduce costs for local families, with students identified for help through contact with the class teachers, Chaplain and parental meetings.
Event spokesperson Diana Buchanan thanked everyone for their support.
“As always the local community contributed their time and assistance in making the evening so joyous and successful,” she said.
