The program for the 2025 Cabin Fever Festival has been revealed, with a series of roasty, toasty events across the region to celebrate the winter season down south.
In its ninth edition, the festival will partner with venues across the South West from July 18 to 27, offering more than 40 opportunities to savour the region’s finest wine, food, beers and more.
“One of the most exciting things about Cabin Fever is how it sparks unexpected, incredible collaborations, that people not only love to attend, but the venues, producers and chefs love working together to deliver,” festival director Erin Molloy from AHOY Management said.
“People have come to rely on the festival to deliver an experience like no other in the region during the winter months, with the region coming alive as a winter wonderland of fire pits, feasts, and fun.”
Festival favourites including Blazing Brews at Beerfarm, Wine’s a Drag at Bungalow Neighbourhood Social, the iconic Cheese Toastie Battle, and Shelter the Storm at Shelter Brewing Co will return, while new experiences include the Lo-Fi Wine Fair – featuring bites from Dahl Daddys and wine from lo-fi, small-batch winemakers like Amato Vino, Si Vintners, Rosa Glen Farm and Dirt Temple.
Wineries, breweries and dining hot spots will also be teaming up, with Margaret River’s de’sendent pairing with LS Merchants, Fervor and Si Vintners joining forces for Flint and Folklore, and local Spice Queen Sarina Kamini collaborating with the Margaret River Beer Co crew.
Yum cha fans are sorted with Sunday events on both weekends, courtesy of Yum Yum Cha at Miss Chow’s Margaret River and Emily Taylor at The Goose in Busselton.
Shelter Brewing Co will host the raucously fun Bingo Loco, and Hair of the Truffle Dog will see an early morning truffle hunt with Margaret River Truffle Farm paired with a ‘champagne’ breakfast with Skigh Wine.
Also returning this year is The Cabin at Shelter Brewing Co, with free, family-friendly fun for all on the Busselton foreshore from July 18 to 20.
Three of the region’s top chefs – Brendan Pratt (Busselton Pavilion), Mal Chow (Chows Table) and Rob Webster (Normal Van) come together for Cape to Plate, and Howard Park stokes the fires for the Argentinian themed Lunch On Fire.
“Cape to Plate is a celebration of collaboration and the beautiful South West that brings together three local favourite venues from across the Cape – each with their own personality and approach to food, to join forces to create elevated, yet fun winter dishes designed for standing, sharing, and partying the night away,” Pratt explained.
“It’s everything we love about this season: bold flavours, great company, and a reason to get out and enjoy the best of what the region has to offer,” the Head of Culinary for the Parker Group continued.
“The South West hangs out for Cabin fever every year, turning winter on its head and bringing people together in a way that only this festival can.”
