Businesses collaborate to spread cheer

Local businesses have banded together to help a Margaret River resident enjoy a brighter festive season.

“The staff thought this year it would be a nice gesture if we were to donate some Coles or Woolies vouchers to Cheryl, who is the complex cleaner at 111 Bussell Highway,” Therapy Focus’ Debbie Neat explained.

The team had become familiar with Cheryl’s plight amidst the region’s housing crisis, struggling to find stable and affordable accomodation following the loss of her partner.

“We are all in a much more fortunate position and thought we’d donate our Kris Kringle gift amounts to her instead.”

Therapy Focus and Eden Aesthetics jumped on board and donated more than $200, then purchased vouchers, presented to Cheryl this week.

“We told her how much we appreciated what she does around our complex. We know she’s been doing it tough and we wanted to give this to her in advance of Christmas so she could buy presents, food, wine, whatever she wishes.”
