Buddy Day helps Cowaramup students connect

Students and teachers at Cowaramup Primary School came togeher for the last day of Term 3 to mark the school’s annual ‘Buddy Day’.

CPS teacher Leesa Mathers said the day commemorated the Gracetown tragedy, and commenced with a speech by Keaghley Bremner remembering his Dad and the special connection of community.

“From gardening, buddy portraits, sandcastles, team games, boules, and newspaper fashion, memories and friendships were made as older students looked after the little ones and guided them through the action-packed day.

“It is such a special day for both students and staff to connect and celebrate kinship.”
