Busselton played a stunning first half at Sir Stewart Bovell Park on Saturday afternoon, defeating Augusta Margaret River by 89 points in Round 13 of the SWFL season.
The eighty nine point margin is the second highest winning margin by Busselton against Augusta Margaret River, surpassing the 87 point margin in 2004, with only the 1998 win by 125 points standing in their way.
Busselton kicked twelve goals to one in the first half, in what very quickly became a one sided contest.
The much talked about forward line of Busselton fired yet again, with Mitch Cameron, Liam Creighton and Ryan Ekert kicking eleven goals between them.
Ky Meers and Mitch Cameron kicked the first four goals of the match, before Ryan Ekert snapped his first and the Magpies fifth, while Liam Creighton snapped a good goal in time on, to give the home side a 37 point lead.
The Hawks defence was under enormous pressure, which led to Busselton forwards being free, delivering some easy goals.
It took less than 30 seconds for the opening goal of the second term with Ben Ganzer converting from long range, with the easiest goal of the day coming to Bailey Sanford who was able to just walk into goal to kick the Magpies eighth. Dylan Patterson got in on the act with the teams ninth goal.
It was hard going for Hawks fans as the avalanche of Magpies goals continued. Conceding the first 12 goals, it would be Jack Hanni who stopped the Magpie goals as the home side went to half time 70 points in front. The Hawks would kick three goals in the third term, and actually won the quarter, but Busselton kicked four goals to one in the last term to take the victory by 89 points.

The win keeps the Magpies on top of the ladder, while for the Hawks it a day to forget as their season starts to slip away. While still in fifth place, the Hawks have yet to have a team bye, the first of which comes next round, and the most crucial match will be in round fifteen when they play Harvey Brunswick Leschenault, the team currently in sixth place.
