Big brass energy at the Tav this Friday night

8-piece Perth outfit Brass Party will hit the Tav stage this Friday night, alongside support act Clauds.

Perth band Brass Party will bring their classic 90s and 2000s vibes to Settlers Tavern for the very first time this weekend, promising a show that’s “guaranteed to frost your tips and double your denim”.

Hitting the Tav stage alongside indie-electronic act Clauds, the eight piece outfit deliver horn-laden funk and epic guitar solos that have made them a must-see at bars and clubs around the city.

The band began as a one-off passion project in 2015, when the members met at university.

They have been playing music together ever since, regularly performing sell-out shows at the Ellington Jazz Club, opening the Perth International Jazz Festival twice, performing at Fringe World Festival since 2021, and supporting international act the Hot 8 Brass Band.

They released their debut EP, ‘Rise of the Doot Warrior’ featuring the single ‘All Night’ in November 2023.

Catch Brass Party and Clauds at Settlers Tavern this Friday January 17 from 9pm. Entry is free.
