Talented mountain biker Bella Moore has been awarded the Busselton Freight Rising Sports Star award for February, recognising her incredible achievements and dedication to the sport.

The 16-year-old, who attends Cape Naturaliste College, has dominated the WA mountain biking scene, securing multiple state and national titles while giving back to the sport through volunteer work.

Bella’s passion for mountain biking began at the age of nine, and by 12, she was competing in state-level races. Over the past four years, she has made a name for herself in the WA Gravity Enduro and Downhill series, consistently achieving top results.

Her 2024 season has been nothing short of outstanding, with Bella claiming the Under-17 Australian National Championship, the WA State Championship, and the overall WA Gravity Enduro Series title.

Competing across WA, Bella has been a force to be reckoned with, winning every round of the WA Gravity Enduro Series. Her success has also taken her beyond her home state, finishing second in the Under-17 category at the prestigious Enduro Jam in Tasmania.

With her sights set on bigger challenges, she is now preparing to compete at Cairns Crankworx in May, one of the world’s premier mountain biking events.

Beyond her personal achievements, Bella is committed to giving back to the sport that has given her so much.

She regularly volunteers at mountain biking events, assisting with course deconstruction and trail maintenance to help ensure the tracks remain in top condition for future riders.

Bella’s determination, talent, and sportsmanship make her a deserving recipient of the Busselton Freight Rising Sports Star award. Her continued success serves as an inspiration to young athletes in the region, proving that hard work and dedication lead to great achievements.

The Busselton Freight Rising Sports Star program celebrates the achievements of young athletes aged 13-18 in the City of Busselton. Monthly winners receive $400 and become eligible for the program’s annual awards, which include prizes of up to $4,000 for the overall winner.
