A new indoor space for locals to train and perform has opened in Margaret River, attracting a large contingent of the aerial arts and movement community.

The grand opening of Rhythm Studio in Owen Tucker Lane drew 70 locals keen to participate in open workshops, where attendees of all ages had the opportunity to try their hand at acroyoga and aerial silks.

A highlight of the day was a spectacular aerial silks performance, featuring students from various age groups and skill levels.

Under the guidance of owner and founder, Jimena Bilancetti, students demonstrated what they have been learning in her classes.

Jimena has called Margaret River home for 14 years, and is a seasoned aerialist and movement teacher, bringing a wealth of experience to her teachings. With roots in gymnastics and acrobatics, she discovered her passion for aerial silks over two decades ago.

The studio provides classes suitable for different ages and abilities, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can explore their physical potential.

“I’m an Integral Yoga Teacher, and my classes are a mix of all my knowledge,” she said.

Her journey has taken her from Argentina, to performing with prestigious theatre companies in Ibiza, Spain before she arrived in Margaret River, where she has become a beloved figure in the local aerial arts community for 13 years.

Classes cater to both beginners and the more advanced practitioners of the art, allowing participants to progress at their own pace.

“Rhythm Studio aims to create an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages can explore their physical capabilities through various classes tailored to different skill levels. The studio not only focuses on fitness but also fosters a sense of community among its members.”
